Wedding bells ring!

Congratulations to Gavin and Daphne! Finally got married after so many years together.. :) They actually registered at RoM a couple of weeks ago, but the wedding dinner is today. I'm so sad I can't be there! :(

The spoilt princess

A little of my ugly side showed today. > <;

We'd just downed Majordomo and there was nothing in the treasure chest that I was interested in, so I made a headstart on the journey down to Ragnaros' lair. Rounding the corner, I saw Firelords in the way so I backed off and sat down to wait for the rest of the raid.

Along came Mr Hunter. I guess he was bored. So he pulled the Firelord and feigned death right at my feet. When I looked up and saw the Firelord in my face, the entirety of his evil plot suddenly dawned upon me. A few seconds later I was eating dirt.

I lost it then. I shrieked in fury for Mr Hunter to be kicked from the raid group. When my demand was not immediately complied with, I left the raid myself. When Mr Hunter sent me a private message to say sorry, I shot back a furious "FUCK YOU".

In short, I threw a tantrum. :P It was so silly. I'm embarassed now..

Anyway, later on I apologised to him for losing my temper and he apologised again for his prank. He gave me money for repair costs too. All's well again I hope. :(

My Insaniquarium!

For those who've never heard of this game before, basically it's just a virtual fish aquarium where your pet fish drop coins for you to collect, and big bad aliens pop up from nowhere to try and eat your poor little fishies. It's a simple game, and quite nonsensical, but it's addictive nonetheless. :P Just thought I'd show off some of my favourite pet fishies! All my fish's names start with M! :D


Muzik is my current favourite fishie.. As you can probably guess from his name, he has a special ability.. Singing! He's also a colour changer!



Multi is a colour changer like Muzik, but he's a carnivore and doesn't sing. He's one of my very first fishies!




Mickey's original name was actually Rocky, but Rocky doesn't start with M. :P Rocky is a very rare pre-named fish, and he has a very special diet.. Ultravores! And he roars when he eats them!


Moses doesn't really do anything special, unless you count being super cute! He hangs out at the bottom of the tank and eats stars.





His name is Maw 'coz he has a taste for exotic food.. Unlike his guppy-eating peers, Maw loves to eat KFC!




Mush is actually another pre-named fish whom I renamed. His original name was Cookie, and he feeds all those fishies with special diets like Mickey, Moses and Maw.



Mach got his name 'coz his special ability is being super fast! He loves zipping around the tank at mach speed! He even has very sporty colouring to match his personality.


Munch is Moses' best buddy. He's very voracious and loves munching guppies! Those jaws do look pretty scary..




You can stop squinting at the picture.. Mist's special ability is invisibilty! What a sneaky little rogue..




Mcbeth, Marlin, and Mango don't have any special abilities, but they're veterans in my insaniquarium and I just love their colours!

Corpse Bride

Linky to Tim Burton's latest animated film, The Corpse Bride. Beautifully done with his signature darkly romantic style, with the dead characters seeming more umm.. alive than the live ones. :P Downside is that it's a little short, and kinda abrupt. Still worth a watch if you're a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Linky! Is it just me, or is gaming becoming a very big part of normal life these days.. It's simply amazing! Channel News Asia is reporting about a Counterstrike competetion just as it would an important tennis match.. And the following paragraph has my jaw dropping to the floor in disbelief. :P

Was so sleepy that when I went to lie down and closed my eyes, I fell asleep almost instantly. Feel much better after the nap, I suppose..

Grrr!

I'm so tired now due to dumb inconsiderate idiots! At like 8am in the morning, some moron starts DRILLING. That should be bloody illegal! People are still sleeping for heaven's sake! So after an hour of rattling my teeth, the drilling finally stops. And just as I was thinking, "Yay.. Can sleep some more now.." guess what! People start blowing leaves. Yes, they just blow leaves around (supposedly to get them off the pavements, but the wind just blows everything back again anyway). They have this hand held machine thing that's like a vacuumn cleaner, 'cept that it blows out air instead of sucking it in. Now you know why Australia is one of the top consumers of energy. What happened to good old brooms? They do the same (maybe even better) job, and they aren't so bloody noisy! Stupid stupid stupid..

Excitement!

One and a half months to my birthday! Can't wait.. Gonna be having a party at my place, but don't be offended if you don't recieve a personal invitation! I'm nowhere near as organised as SunniGal, so I do a sort of mass invitation type of thing. Just assume that if you know when my birthday is, and you know where I live, you're invited!

Gonna be working on a wishlist (see sidebar!) for those people who can never figure out what to buy for me. I'll link to some examples to give an idea of what I'm thinking of. Note that price range approximately increases down the list. :P Worst case scenario, if you can't get anything on the wishlist, an angpow will do ok? ;P No more stuffed toys please! My mom made me give a whole bunch of them away.. :( And no more carrots either. (Don't ask.)

Mike the headless chicken

Linky to the official site of the rather gruesome and sadistic story of Mike, the headless chicken. I think it was horrid of them to torture the poor chicken like that, but it's quite intriguing scientifically.

The chicken managed to survive for 18 months after his head had been loped off, because most of his brain stem was still left intact. As the behavior of chickens is mainly reflex actions controlled by the brain stem, Mike shrugged off the beheading and continued living his chickenly life without his head.

Eddie Guerrero passed away today. He was one of the biggest WWE stars, for those who have no clue. Rest in peace. :( Linky.

So full..

Wah.. Dim sum so yummy! :D So bloated now..

Ordered wrong type of egg tarts again, darn! 'Coz there are three types, one is the very sweet Portuguese kind, the other is the nice egg custard but wrong type of base, and the last one is the super duper yummy one, with the egg custard on a very light, buttery pastry! I wasn't really sure whether it was the right one when it came around on the cart. Then my boyfriend said, "If you want" but I mistakenly heard him say, "One".. Ok ok.. I think I just need my ears checked or something. Anyways, the right ones came along later on and Mandy said they were very yummy too! Yay! :D

Tangy satisfied his wobbly multicoloured jelly obsession too. It was so amusing 'coz it's very (quote Tangy!) "FIRM". It's impossible to cut with a chopstick unless you poke it in first! There were three very big pieces so I helped Tang out on one. The first bite I took, my teeth just slid off and it popped out of my mouth unscathed.. It was quite nice, but just too sweet for my tastes.

The ex-classmate that I coincidentally met the other day joined us as well. She's taking a degree in International Studies at the same uni Tangy. Amazing! I have totally no head for politics at all. I simply cannot comprehend how someone can find that interesting.. To each his own! :P

Counterstrike

Sigh.. This terrorism scare in Sydney is making me feel like I'm in a game of CS! Gonna be meeting up with Tangy and co. for dim sum in town.. I'm a little scared.. :P Oh well, hope counter-terrorists win!

Wow War II

Started another war with my druid and my boyfriend's warrior yesterday.. This time in Tanaris! :P The usual.. Gimpy horde dies to us, brings his level 60, gets pwnt again, brings friends. But there's one thing those little hordies really should learn.. Our friends pwn their friends. *evil laugh*

We had over 10 people riding around chasing them all over the desert! It was hilarious.. Ended up camping at Gadgetzan. Horde are so silly! All I had to do was walk up to them and say, "Boo!" (figuratively) and they'd attack me. And get killed by guards. :P

A few high PvP ranking hordes came as well, some quite well known on the server. Too bad, we pwned them too! ;D Finally, they all gave up and hearthed out. Oh well.. Fun over. :(

It's a small world after all

There I was, staring at the show listings in front of the cinema. Suddenly, I heard someone call my name. I turned around and.. I'd never have guessed! Saw my secondary school mate whom I never even had any contact with for almost 5 years! Wow. It's an amazing coincidence, especially since her uni is almost an hour away. :P

I just realised that the dryads in Warcraft 3 have rather interesting lines.. I'm wondering if anyone else finds the following phrases a little ambiguous or if I simply have an overactive imagination. :P

It's getting hotter and dryer every day.. I'm dehydrating! :( At least when the weather was bad in Singapore there was always the air conditioner.. Sigh. And did I mention the flies?
