Well, so after yum cha with the usual gang, we decided to take the train back to Epping and return the Ezy Video DVDs. So we bought our tickets and headed down to the platform to wait for the train.

Then I saw the notice.

The A4 piece of paper stuck to the map. That said the train line to Epping was not in service. Yippie!

They would give us a refund 'coz apparently there were signs "all over the place". Everywhere except the ticket machine I guess.

The was of course the obligatory bus service provided.. Which takes 1/2 an hour longer than the normal bus. And considering that you need the train ticket to take the bus, it's more expensive too.

In my opinion, money making scam. :P

Evil Chype strikes again!

So it all started out when I about to leave IF to go to BWL. And as usual, I get a message from some random for water. Routine stuff. So I gave my usual reply.. "50s ok?" It's not that much, and sometimes I just give it away free if they have no money or if I'm in a good mood. But there was something about this guy that I immediately took a dislike to. Maybe it was because he called me "bro"? I'm no brudda in any sense of the word. :P

So he laughs and says, "Well do you pay any money to make them?"


As anyone who had watched Crystal Water and You would know, time is money, friend. So I tried to explain this concept to him.



Unfortunately, he doesn't get it. And then he resorts to asking how old I am! Maybe it's all just a ploy to get to know me.. You know, an original way of saying "a/s/l?"



But then again, apparently not.. And he seems to have gotten this idea to create a mage, level it up to 60, and go to DM to complete the quest that teaches you how to make crystal water. Well uh.. Ok!


By this time, I was already at Thorium point, and I was getting quite tired of his nonsensical rambling. So I tried to brush him off. Not very politely, but well.. :P




Then he pulls out the pity ploy! Hmm.. Stopped playing for 5 months, maybe there wasn't any crystal water back then.. But I still don't get his point.




I tried using a firmer hand. Threw in the GMs favourite phrase for good measure! :D



But he insisted on having the last word.



Well, okay then. Word!

Nanaca Crash!

Listening online to all those lectures I've been missing recently, naughty me! Unfortunately they're as boring as they are in school.. :P

In other news, one of the people I've been PvPing with got his account banned for 72 hours.. For using the F word. I don't know which bored idiot would report that. Apparently, a GM was watching him! That's just what I heard.. :(

Fickle Pickle!

Men always complain about the fickleness of women. Bah! Computers are worse.. Remember I said my com was still hanging after I bought a new video card? Well, after that one time, it hasn't crashed again since. And after I post this, it's sure to hang again sometime or another. Probably at the worst possible moment. We'll see..

Yum cha!

Went for yum cha with Shan, Nissa and Yang yesterday at Marigold again! Yummy! But we missed all the har gao! They're my favourite.. :( The egg tarts were considerably bettter this time compared to the last time we went. That time they were really watery and gross!

Bought a new video card, a Leadtek A6600. My graphics look so much nicer now! Unfortunately, my com is still hanging. :P Must be the motherboard I guess.

Squashed like a cockroach

Finally, we managed to squish Huhuran! Got stuck on him awhile.. Love that feeling of triumph after all those near misses!

During the 2nd last attempt, my computer decided to crash on me! They ended up wiping at 2%. I would have done that 2%! *cry* When I came back they said "LAST ATTEMPT!".. It's always like that. Many times before, they would say "LAST ATTEMPT!", then we'd down the big baddie! They're like magic words! Why can't they say the magic words sooner! :P

Next stop, Twin Emperors! We'll probably be stuck on them for some time.. But we'll get them somehow! :D

Wednesday blues

People get Monday blues 'coz they go back to work/school on Monday.. I skip Mondays 'coz I listen to that one lecture online, and Tuedays I have no classes. Indroducing the Wednesday blues. Sigh.. Well I could prolly skip today as well (already missed the 9am lecture anyway), but the thing about Wednesdays is that the totally annoying leaf blower guy comes at 9am. Equals no sleeping in anyway. So I might as well go for the 12 o'clock lecture. In addition, there's some guy from Oxford Uni coming down to give a talk at 4pm. What is Good for the Environment is Increasingly Good for Business. Don't look at me, I'm equally clueless.

Well, so I was in such a bad mood from being awoken by the stupid leaf blower guy, I was rather mean to this poor lowbie who asked me to run him through SM (lowbie instance in WoW).

Lowbie: can you run me through SM
Me: sure I can
Me: but that doesn't mean I will
Lowbie: so are you going to run me through SM?
Me: that wasn't your question though, you only asked me if I can

Pissy rain

Just when I decide to do the laundry.. Hello rain. It the sort of rain I call "pissy rain". It's the kind of misty dampness you get when you use those water sprayer things when you're ironing. You don't really feel the rain falling but you just get all wet anyway. It's rather depressing. Can't it even rain properly?! :(

Hostel

Freaking scary and gory. Not a show to bring that girl you want to impress to. Unless she happens to love nail biting, peek through fingers, grip your hand till it's white kinda horror movie. Then she'd love it. :)

Unforutnately, there isn't much effort to endear the audience to the characters, so you don't feel much for them emotionally, besides how painful it must be to have holes drilled into you.

Open for Business!

I'm talking about the latest Sims 2 expansion. Yup, I've become Sim crazy during my 4 week exile from WoW. :( Anyways, I've pre-ordered a copy, simply to get an exclusive mascot! *blush*

Back to school!

I mentioned earlier that my timetable looks rather empty.. :P Well, it's probably similar to what arts or business undergrads usually take for granted. It just seems empty to me 'coz I'm a science student, so the majority of my units include a 4 hour practical session every week. That's what fills it up really. But this semester I have only one unit with weekly practical sessions, and the rest are all lectures and one tutorial. Thus the rare occurence of empty spaces in my timetable. :)

Unfortunately, the weekly practical classes are replaced by on-campus sessions during the 2 week break in April. So while other people are lazing about or out having fun, I'll be spending 10 days in total of block practicals. In other words, no break for me. Ah well, the price of having Tuesdays free. :P
