Sims 2: Seasons

Got ambushed by a middle aged lady on the MRT trying to sell me profit sharing nonsense. Had to listen to her crap all the way from Punggol to Little India! Was laughing internally all the way.. Well, at least it wasn't another boring ride. :P

Anyway, went to SLS to buy the latest Sims 2 expansion.. Seasons! Now the Sims can experience changes in the weather, feel hot or cold, and have to dress according to the temperature outside.. They can also grow gardens! Six new jobs too.. :)

Niece's Birthday

Had a party at the Pine Tree Club. If you wanna know what it was like, just imagine 25 little kids. Was a fancy dress party, so my niece was Snow White, then there was Batman, Pooh, Superman and a multitude of faeries. My niece is crazy over Snow White and the other Disney princesses, so you can guess what the deco theme was.. Balloons, plates, cups and party hats all pink and princess-y. The hired entertainer for the kids even dressed up as Cinderella. The cake was cheesecake with a princess picture too..

Hard Rock Cafe

I think this was my first time eating there.. At least Singapore's. If I have before I don't remember. :P Food was okay, though the portions were HUGE. Had the twisted mac and cheese. Music and ambiance was awesome.

The Reaping

Watched at J8 with Gavin, Daphne and Sam after dinner at Secret Recipe.. Yes I know it's a dessert place but their food is actually pretty good too! Had a beef lasagna and some apple cheese slice, I can't remember what it was actually called, but it tasted just like pineapple tarts. :P

I'm intrigued with the whole "end of the world" / "antichrist" kinda genre, so this wasn't a show I could miss. Needless to say, I'm biased. :P So I really liked the show, and the plot twist was pretty interesting, though maybe a little predictable.

Cafe Cartel again!

Addicted to the mushroom and chicken macaroni.. Cafe Cartel is becoming a fortnightly thing, competing with the Japanese buffets! This time at the one at PS. Neek wanted to meet up, so went back to the old practice of Tuesday night dinner. WoW's attempt at no Tuesday downtime failed, apparently. :P Went down to CD for a couple of rounds of the new C&C, unfortunately I have 0 experience in that series, so I decided to sit back and exercise my backseat driver powers instead. ^^
