COWABANGA! Lol yes, I was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan when I was little. My favourite has always been Donatello. Watched their latest movie at TM after dinner. It was okay. Nostalgic! :)

The Dreaded Dentist

Okay so it wasn't that bad. :P Makes me wonder why I avoided it for so long and ended up with this FILLING. Yes, omg my tooth decayed and I had to get a filling. I never thought it would happen to me!! Sigh.

Park Lane

Met up with Taupok and co. at Park Lane. They had dinner at some Japanese steamboat place, but there's no way I'd eat anything else but the yummy wanton mee if I'm anywhere near Park Lane. I upsized today. Fried wanton, springy noodles and delicious sauce.. Heaven. Played a couple of games of DotA after dinner, lost 1 won 1. The lanshop was dark, noisy and stuffy. Ugh. And the screen was so bright, made my eyes hurt. :( But fun, I suppose!

Little vegetables

Quite some time ago I noticed a bunch of people in FFXI, all same level and named Little-something, with the something being vegetables, Littletaupok, Littlepotato, Littlecarrot etc. So the other day my bf was feeling bored, so when he saw Littletaupok run past he asked where he was from. Well, "taupok" is pretty predictably mostly a Singaporean/Malaysian thing, so no surprise the whole bunch of them turned out to be from Singapore. Met up with them + some of the usual people for dinner at Cineleisure. Ate at the Chicago Steakhouse, I had the tenderloin. Not too bad. After dinner went to Mezebar to sit down chit chat. Was supposed to watch a show, but we concluded that there were none worth watching.. :P The little vege people went on to watch Primeval though.

Driving lesson

Had my first driving lesson today. I was a little nervous, but the driving instructor was friendly and nice. Had some problems with left turns, kept going up the curb! And kept forgetting to brake when the instructor braked. :P Otherwise, was okay, had fun!

Koh Samui

As expected. Sun, sand and sea. With an elephant thrown in for good measure on the 3rd day. :P Was pretty fun though, spent quality time with my family, especially my two little nieces. Sunburnt.

I guess I'm not a typical girl, because I absolutely LOVED this show (I did mention this already didn't I). I adored Sin City, and I love 300, which is by the same director. Before we went in, someone said that a friend gave him review which went, "If you like boobies and blood, you'll like 300". Well ya, I suppose it did have those in excess, and I like 300, so I guess I like boobies and blood! Reverse logic at its best, eh? :P But blood and boobies aside, 300 did have a number of very touching scenes, like the part Leonidas bids his wife and son goodbye. Both he and the queen knew there was a very good chance he would not come back alive, but as Spartan royalty, they bravely kept emotions in check so there were no tears or wailing. Instead, they just looked into each other's eyes, and their gazes were so intense and charged, it was like electricity. I cried for them. Another breathtaking scene is the one where Leonidas consults the Oracle. I'll prolly botch a description, so I'll leave that one for you to find out for yourself.. ;)

Holidays are supposed to be relaxing

But my mom usually seems to forget that. Last night when I was out watching 300 (which, incidentally, I LOVED), I received an SMS from her saying, "you need to pack". I'm like.. Whaaaa? We're leaving tomorrow night for Ko Samui. My dad, on the other hand, is far more relaxed about our weekend away. When I asked him, "So what are we gonna be doing there?", he tells me, "Relax on the beach." Okaaaaay. Well, my sis is bringing along my two nieces too, so I guess it won't be all THAT bad. :P

It's been a long time..

I blame the new computer. Got a brand new com for my birthday, a really sweet setup too I must say.. I couldn't tell you shit about the specs, 'coz I have no idea. :P The CPU alone cost about $1.4k, assembled in SLS, so you can gauge from there. Everything is black, from the 19" LCD monitor to the CPU casing to the Razer Diamondback mouse and G15 keyboard to the EVO 5 speakers, that were also a birthday present from a bunch of friends (thank you!! <3). Anyway. As I was saying, I blame the new computer. As usual, was lazy, and didn't bother to set up all my bookmarks. So the blog sort got dumped at the bottom of a large pile and was largely forgotten. :P Another contributing offender was FFXI, which we went back to playing after selling our WoW accounts (for a miserly amount I must say). FFXI doesn't allow alt-tabbing, unless you use a external program called Windower, which I'm not a fan of, besides it being illegal-ish.

So I haven't blogged for a couple 'o months.. Sorry! Hope you didn't miss me TOO much. Quick updates.. My birthday party was a fairly understated affair, didn't really bother with extensive invites, just sent out the word and sat back, as it were. Catered food up this year, and yes it did rain, AGAIN. So I do learn my lesson. ;P I did end up quite wasted though. Prolly the worst I've ever gone. New Year's eve was spent in some karaoke lounge, but managed to escape relatively unscathed on that count. Chinese New Year was a blast, I'm such a homebody.. I LOVE getting together with my extended family. And all that bak kua! Angpaos are nice too. :P My uncles wrote a new book too, called SPI's Strange Tales. SPI stands for Singapore Paranormal Investigators by the way, linky for their forum! Chap Goh Mei was spent at Gavin and Daphne's place, had lor hei and spaghetti, lol! Their baby grows so fast, he's so big for only 3 months old! On the job front, I'm currently still unemployed.. Did abit of part-time work packing sales kits at Lock's office, but that doesn't really count. Don't tell ANYONE, but I haven't even written a resume. My parents would prolly murder me if they knew! However, we're looking into buying over a petshop.. Lots of hard work and time, but all those puppies.. ZOMG SO CUTE!!! I'm also on my way to a driver's license, just passed my BTT recently, now taking driving lessons. Mom says she'll pester my dad to buy me a car when I get my license!

I guess that more or less covers the major events, as you can see I've been very busy slacking and not much else. :P Hopefully I'll remember not to let my pretty little blog rot for so long again!
