The Phantom of the Opera

How I wish it was still Sarah Brightman in the role of Christine.. But alas! We of the latter generation have to settle for less. :P Still, it was gorgeous.. From the backdrops to the costumes to the music.. I loved the masquerade especially! Only letdown was the chandelier scene.. Instead of falling and scaring the hell out of the audience, it made a rather pathetic slow-mo glide down..

Yes.. Geek alert! :P James Franco (who plays Harry Osborn) is soooo goddamn cute, especially when he turns on that mega-watt smile.. *sigh!* Was spectacular on the CGI as Spidey films go. My favourite is still that scene when Peter Parker is falling through the air and the ring goes by his face, and he gasps and sticks out his hand to grab it... And POW! Gets slammed into a wall. (No spoiler okay, it was in the trailer.. ;P) Bryce Dallas Howard (as Gwen Stacy) is really pretty too. Did you know she was pregnant during the filming?! Love that scene where Peter dances with her in the Jazz club to make MJ jealous.. Though it was really nasty of him! (Oops.. Spoiler!) I found the last few scenes really touching too.. Almost started bawling out loud. ; ;
