Back to School!

First day back in school today.. Good thing I'm starting out with high spirits, it tends to droop lower and lower as the semester plods by.. :P One of my units is gonna take a shitload of work.. Everything will be on my own, no lectures, practicals or anything like that. Just lots and lots of research and a 10k word literature review. I'm thinking of dropping one of my other units which I think I don't really need to take, but I'll have to double check that I don't need the credit points.

Results

So.. I got the lowest mark for the easiest unit and the highest mark for the hardest one.. I feel so dumb now. I could have easily gotten a better score if I had not skipped two classes, handed in an assignment late and screwed up the grant application. :P Oh well!

Nintendo Connection Tour

Linky! The Nintendo Connection Tour '06 came right to my doorstep! Just walked across the road.. :P Met up with Mark and Weiying and her friend and friends of her friend.. Mark ended up buying a DS Lite too! And we managed to unlock the super rare Jack Russell puppies in Nintendogs! :D

It's a small world after all

So the other day, my mom was going on about her sister telling her something about my cousin Clara and Warcraft.. But 'coz she has like no idea about it I didn't know what she was talking about. So I thought maybe she was saying that Clara plays computer games too, and possibly even World of Warcraft as well.

Then today, while I was going braindead from working on the same boss in Naxx for 5 long hours, I got a whisper from someone.. Who turned out to be my cousin! Who would've known.. Not only does she play WoW, she's even on the same server as I am! I've even talked to her boyfriend in game a few times before.

All this time.. She was right there.. This is just really too weird..

Plus, we downed that boss too, Instructor Razuvious. :P

Fly away..

My parents flew back to Singapore this morning.. Sigh! Gonna miss them.. ; ; Only 6 months to go!

Pirates of the Carribean

Orlando Bloom is SO cute. Wait.. Deja vu! Why did that seem so familiar.. Hmm.. *looks down at previous post* Oh. :P But I do concede that his acting pretty much sucks. :P Well actually Johnny Depp is really cute too, and he's awesome as Captain Jack Sparrow! Can't wait for the third installment.. :)

Superman Returns

Watched Superman Returns in Brisbane with Adrian. Was supposed to watch with Tang.. But due to having nothing else to do in Brissy after 5pm on a weekday.. > <; I'm sorry I broke my promise Tangy.. :(

Nintendogs!

I bought a Nintendo DS Lite.. :P Well, it's a long story. At first I bought an original Nintendo DS for my boyfriend on his birthday. Then I saw the Nintendogs game and I just had to have it! So I bought that. But of course, it's just about impossible to share a console, especially when you first get it! So I decided to buy a DS for myself. Then we discovered that the DS Lite was so much cooler than the original! So I bought one of those.. But because it's so much better, the problem was working out who would use which! The solution? Went back to the shop and exchanged the DS for a DS Lite.. So now we both have DS Lites! :D

I absolutely LOVE Nintendogs! Call me deprived, 'coz it's true. :P My mom never let me have a dog or a cat because they're too "dirty".. :( Well anyway, Nintendogs are pretty much like real dogs. You can pet them, feed them, bathe them, walk them, train them, and take part in competitions! My favourite Nintendog is called Mizzy, named by my boyfriend! She's a miniature pinscher and so so cute! My boyfriend says she's scrawny but he's just being mean! He also keeps calling my corgi "Stumpy" instead of her real name, Bubbles. Then he told me to name my new dog "Stinky".

So. I bought him his own Nintendogs. Now he can name his dogs anything he wants! (And also help me unlock the chihuahua puppies in my own kennel.. ;P) His first dog is a chihuahua called Snifles. Only one "f" 'coz we discovered that there's a limit of the number of letters for the name.. lol! I'm going to pester him to name his subsequent doggies Scrawny, Stumpy and Stinky. ;P

Gold Coast

Yup so I'm back from Brisbane.. Was such a spur of the moment thing.. Bought the tickets, booked accomodation, and flew off within the space of 72 hours! I was only just tossing the idea around, who would've known they would make me get off my butt and actually do it.. :P

Well, had fun I guess! Was nice and warm and sunny! Took it slow and leisurely, like all vacations should be. I hate those holiday tour things, where you wake up at like 5am to rush from one place to the next! Visited Movie World and Seaworld, Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium and the Wax Museum! Plus a sprinkling of shopping and lots of eating. :P And the beach was oh-so lovely..
